Mute, Block, or Unfollow? | Knowing When to Cut Off the Wrong Voices In Week 2 of our February focus, “Leaving Unhealthy Access,” Pastor Coach Anthony McKissic Sr. continues the 2026 theme “We’re Leaving the Group Chat” with a timely message titled “Mute, Block, or Unfollow?”
Last week we learned that just because someone is close doesn’t mean they get access. This week, we take it a step further by learning how to respond to unhealthy voices with wisdom and discernment.
Using John 10:3–5, Proverbs 4:25–27, Hebrews 12:1, and Romans 16:17, this sermon teaches that not every situation requires the same response. Some voices need to be muted, some need to be unfollowed, and some must be blocked altogether — not out of anger, but out of obedience and protection.
This message is for anyone who is growing, healing, and becoming more intentional about what and who has influence over their life.
Just because someone can reach you… doesn’t mean they should influence you.
In This Sermon You’ll Learn:
Why discernment matters when managing access
The biblical difference between muting, unfollowing, and blocking
How to protect your heart without becoming hardened
When separation is wisdom, not offense
How to guard what God is building in you
